Wind power is generated from tall metal towers that have helicopter blades on them, that are called Wind turbines. Wind turbines have small generators that catch energy that comes from the large spinning blades of the turbine. The blades get spinned by the wind and while thats happening the blades activate the generator my spinning the gears, moving the pistons and generating energy. While the energy is being transfered into the genrator its also send energy through the underground powerlines and into the larger generators at power plants. Which creates electricity and central heating inside our homes.
